About Saul Lyons
Saul Lyons is an artist living in Palm Springs,California. A graduate of Pitzer College, he spent over a decade as a womenswear and fabric designer and several years teaching. In 2015, he started to teach himself drawing and painting. After a few years of daily practice, displaying his works on Instagram, he developed a following and gained gallery representation. He has shown in galleries in Germany, Italy, England, Canada and the USA. His work is focused on images of men. While he feels these images of positive and affectionate masculinity are important politically and are intended to counter toxic masculinity and homophobia, his main intent is to explore and express the emotional quality of his subjects.
He lives with his husband, Keith and his dog, Alfie and two cats, Finn and Luke.
